“I can’t seem to escape this cycle! First, I get excited about my new goal and by the end of the day I’m back to procrastinating and hating myself for it. I’ve done so much work on myself, and yet, I’m still battling the same lack of focus that I had ten years ago. Why do I keep procrastinating? What is wrong with me?”
Not only do 50% of my initial consultations begin with someone saying this to me, but I’ve also uttered those exact words myself at different times in life.
I call them “Circles” because they send you in an endless loop that either robs you of a fulfilling life or leads you down a new path to personal power so you can enter a more empowering circle.
I’ve identified many circles or cyclical patterns of behavior that lead to happiness or torment. Some examples are below.
Since I cannot draw a circle with these words, please imagine a circle as I write out their path.
The Entrepreneur Circle
Pain (Trauma, adversity) -> Passion (Your gifts) -> Purpose (Outcomes) -> Struggle (Self-doubt, procrastination, imposter syndrome) -> Profit (Ways to add value that you are rewarded for) ->
The Weight Loss Circle
Pain (Self-doubt, trauma) -> Passion (Desire for improved health) -> Struggle (Procrastination, unworthiness, self-sabotage) -> Helplessness (Giving up, losing weight only to gain it all back) ->
The Destructive Relationship Circle
Pain (Trauma, lack of self-worth) -> Passion (Desire for connection and happiness) -> Struggle (Attraction to wound-mates who cannot provide what you desire) -> Spiral (Feeling out of control, co-dependent breakdowns) ->
The PTSD Circle
Pain (Traumatic event(s)) -> Struggle (Unsuccessfully dealing with the experiences -> Coping (Turning to other destructive habits or therapy/meds) -> 2nd Trauma (Deepening of hopelessness from lack of positive results ->
Over the next week, I’m going to dive deeper into each of these circles.
I’ll also share how to break free from those endless loops of despair so you can enter a Circle of Power, which is what leads to empowering breakthroughs, joy, and a greater sense of internal control over your destiny.
If you reply and let me know what circle you are currently dealing with, it will help me decide which one to talk about first.
Get ready for an exciting conversation!

PSS, I don’t always share blog posts about my ideas, so if you wish to be “in the loop,” please send me an email requesting to be a part of my Achiever community.
